BUILD RESILIENT INFRASTRUCTURE, PROMOTE INCLUSIVE AND SUSTAINABLE INDUSTRIALIZATION AND FOSTER INNOVATION
The goal is to support innovation, build a resilient infrastructure that can be used by all and ensure that countries have significant sustainable and inclusive manufacturing industries to drive economic growth.
Many people have limited access to infrastructure due to distance, extreme weather or a lack of money. More resilient infrastructure should be built to remedy this. Manufacturing industries should contribute more to GDP, especially in the least developed countries. And research into innovative solutions should be fostered to ensure that infrastructure and manufacturing industries are sustainable and profitable.
WUR creates innovate tools to measure and evaluate the environmental performance of projects and companies
Wageningen University & Research (WUR) helps infrastructure and industries in both developing and developed countries to become more sustainable by creating innovative online and offline tools to measure environmental conditions and evaluate the environmental performance of projects and companies. We also contribute to the Environmental Data Compendium for the Netherlands, which monitors Dutch infrastructure and environmental health.
