ENSURE THE AVAILABILITY AND SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT OF WATER AND SANITATION FOR ALL

The aim is that everyone should have access to clean water and safe sanitation facilities by 2030.

Water quality is a key factor in global food production. As the global population grows and becomes more affluent, managing the planet’s resources of fresh water will become increasingly complex.

WUR focuses on the role of water in creating an optimal environment for all living beings

As well as being crucial in how we deal with extreme events like drought and floods, water management is of direct importance for the quality of daily life. Many scientists at Wageningen University & Research (WUR) are focusing on the role of water in creating the best possible environment for humans, other living creatures and plant life, both now and in the future.
