Affordable and Clean Energy
ENSURE ACCESS TO AFFORDABLE, RELIABLE, SUSTAINABLE AND MODERN ENERGY SERVICES FOR ALL
Approximately three billion people currently lack access to clean fuels for cooking, exposing them to dangerous levels of air pollution.
EOne of the best ways to improve this situation by 2030 is to ensure universal access to affordable electricity by investing in clean energy sources such as solar, wind and thermal power. Adopting cost-effective standards for a wider range of technologies could reduce the global electricity consumption in buildings and industry by 14 per cent.
