Join us in making progress on the SDGs

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) comprise 169 specific, quantifiable targets for people, planet and prosperity. Determined by the United Nations in September 2015, the SDGs have served as a focal point for development and progress ever since, including for Wageningen University & Research (WUR). They guide us in our choice of studies and projects to conduct and help us connect with organisations and people around the world. They are increasingly being used as a point of reference for grants of philanthropic gifts. Private individuals and funds that partner with WUR are being given the opportunity to make an active and tangible contribution to the achievement of the SDGs. This applies in particular to the twelve goals that are most closely related to our institute’s domain:

SDG 1 No Poverty
SDG 2 Zero Hunger
SDG 3 Good health and well-being
SDG 5 Gender Equality
SDG 6 Clean Water and Sanitation
SDG 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth
SDG 9 Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
SDG 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities
SDG 12 Responsible Production and Consumption
SDG 13 Climate Action
SDG 14 Life below Water
SDG 15 Life on Land
